A New Look

I remember sitting at a table with a graphic designer back in 2009. IAFR was about to become a registered nonprofit and we needed a logo. I told him I was looing for something simple that carried the idea of a long journey. I drew an arched horizon on a napkin and a couple of squiggly lines that went to the horizon and added a dot for a sun (whether it was rising or setting was always up for debate). The designer took it and ran with it. And it served us well for the past 15+ years. But it is time to freshen it up a bit.
I'm confident that you can see the new carries the original within it. It continues to represent the difficult journeys taken by forcibly displaced people. It also channels a sense of hope - for strengthening hope is core to much of what we do as we help people survive and recover from forced displacement.
We hope you like it.

*We want to give a shout out to our good friends at IAFR Canada as they shared their graphic designer with us to draft the updated logo!
