IAFR helped our Refugee partners in Kakuma (Kenya) purchase 11 bicycles to aid the leadership of their association of 162 churches from the camp and surrounding host community to better serve their community. One of the leaders posted the following to facebook:
We received this herd of buffalos* today for mobility in and around Kakuma. God bless IAFR for this precious donation in these hard days.
*"Buffalo" is a Kenyan bicycle manufacturer
The bicycles will go a long way in helping our forcibly displaced friends survive and recover from forced displacement as they enable them to track humanitarian needs in the camp, while simultaneously strengthening their sense of community and faith. The bikes will also enhance their sense of making a meaningful contribution to society.
