A New IAFR Course: When Evangelism Meets Aid

Unfortunately, good intentions aren’t enough to ensure a fruitful and faithful Christian ministry among refugees and other forcibly displaced people.
Challenges abound in ministry with people in precarious circumstances and physical need – from the inadvertent use of pressure or manipulation to buying the compliance or ‘conversions’ of people in vulnerable places. Some people ignore these risks in part because they don’t know how to make productive changes, while others out of fear of making mistakes separate their faith from their work completely.
If you are someone who wants to authentically witness to the transforming work of God in your own life and yet are concerned about adding more harm to people in distress, this course is for you. The content includes case studies to consider and very practical advice from experienced practitioners with examples of how even small changes to ministry approaches can protect the dignity of those you seek to serve and the integrity of your own Christian witness.
This is one of the most frequently requested topics at IAFR Training! We hope you’ll find this self-paced course a useful resource in your ministry. Check it out at iafr-training.teachable.com/p/when-evangelism-meets-aid
