College Scholarships

IAFR has been partnering with There Is Hope in Dzaleka Refugee Camp for many years. One thing we both believe in is the power of education and the importance of keeping the hope of higher education alive in refugee camps like Dzaleka.

This year, IAFR is partnering with There Is Hope to help send 6 students from the refugee camp and host community to college. These young men and women are studying to be nurses, social workers, accountants, and engineers, all with an eye towards how they can help their community in the long run. IAFR firmly believes refugees are more than people in need…they are resilient, gifted, and talented and when countries like Malawi and organizations like There Is Hope invest in those gifts, we all benefit.
