Covid-19 Support – Dzaleka
Sep 4, 2020
The Coronavirus has had many far reaching impacts, even in an isolated, out of the way place like Dzaleka Refugee Camp where more than 46,000 refugees currently reside. Unfortunately, one thing the virus has not done is stop the regional conflict that is transpiring. Each month Dzaleka continues to receive new refugee arrivals who are put in a designated quarantine area for 14 days (or more if they test positive for the virus). IAFR has been partnering with There Is Hope to aid in providing food for those in quarantine these past few months. High school and college students from the refugee camp are another group affected by the virus. There are 66 such students currently sponsored by There Is Hope and we partnered with them to provide special COVID-19 support to help them survive the break in classes and also to remain healthy once classes hopefully resume. Thank you all for your support of our COVID-19 emergency response efforts in Malawi.
