The NEW KISOM Classrooms!

Sep 2, 2022

- Tom Albinson

Three new classrooms have been built on the campus of the Kakuma Interdenominational School of Mission (KISOM) in remote northwestern Kenya. KISOM was established by United Refugee and Host Churches (URHC) - an association of diverse churches from within Kakuma refugee camp and the surrounding host community. IAFR has helped them buy land and build on its campus to help the school have a home from which refugee pastors can be trained and equipped for ministry. They carry a heavy load as they shepherd congregations of people who have suffered the trauma of forced displacement. These faith leaders play an essential role in keeping hope alive in the refugee camp. It is our joy and privilege to partner with them.

URHC sent us these videos of the new building. We're impressed! We look forward to seeing it in person in 10/2022!

And now take a look at the inside of one of the three new classrooms. We're thankful for our financial partners that made this possible!
