Time to help women and orphans

"The losses have been very, very, big."
Ukrainian Christian leaders have identified the greatest need at this time to be to assist widows and orphans in the country. As the point person from our partner church in Slovakia put it earlier today, "The losses have been very, very, big."
It's time to help widows and orphans.
Many husbands and fathers have lost their lives in the war, leaving their wives and children bereaved and often without the means to provide for themselves. Churches are doing what they can to help. We are helping empower them in this important work.
"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress..." - James 1:27
Thanks to the generosity of our financial partners, we are sending over $6,600 this month to help churches in Ukraine assist widows and fatherless children!
Because the need is great and the churches in Ukraine need the Church at large to partner with them during this emergency, we hope to send another $5,000 by August.
Let's persevere in prayer.
Reports from Ukraine speak of an impending spring offensive. It's difficult to imagine the uncertainty, fear, and hope that people are feeling as they anticipate renewed escalation of the conflict.
It is not always easy to know how to pray but pray we must. If nothing else, we can put words to our hearts desire that those caught up in the conflict know that God hears, sees, and cares for them. And we can pray as Jesus taught us, "That the will of God be done on earth as it is in heaven."
If you would like to help support Ukrainian widows and fatherless children, you can give now.
