What makes us tick?

Get to know what makes us tick.

Tom Eckblad heard me speak at a church in 2023. Captured by the mission of IAFR, he offered his professional services to create an introductory video of our work. He said it was his way of partnering with us. We are thrilled with the result. I hope you will take the next 210 seconds to watch it.

Refugees and asylum seekers are going get a lot of attention.

Refugees and asylum seekers are going to be one of the main issues raised during the 2024 US campaign season. There are already voices portraying them as a threat to our safety and well-being, rather than as people in need of refuge. As they have no voice, they are easy to misrepresent.

I encourage us all to keep in mind that we are talking about people seeking safety from war, persecution, and gross violations of human rights - most of whom are women and children. As they have no voice, it is important that we speak up on their behalf when they are misrepresented. Perhaps you will find some of our free online resources helpful to that end.

We can show up in life-giving ways.

By partnering together, we can show up in the lives of forcibly displaced people in ways that help them survive, strengthen hope, and rehumanize them. By partnering together, we become part of the solution to this great challenge of the 21st Century.

When you partner with IAFR, you are meeting critical needs, strengthening hope, and re-humanizing our refugee friends. Your support is a tangible sign to them that they are not forgotten and that God hears and sees and cares for them.
