Where do you find light?

We have no reason to fear them.

I share this with you because we are entering into a season in which public figures and media will be talking a lot about refugees and asylum seekers. My hope is that whenever they are misrepresented, we will speak up on their behalf. We have no reason to fear them. They are the ones in danger and in need of safety.

*Mary Pipher wrote a great book several years ago called The Middle of Everywhere. It is about the diversifying population of Lincoln, Nebraska, as many refugees resettled there. So, I thought it was appropriate to share how forcibly displaced people are a source of light and hope to me.
