ABOUT KISOM

Nicholas Gagai serves as the Director of the URHC Kakuma Interdenominational School of Mission (KISOM) - founded by refugees back in 1997. IAFR has partnered with KISOM since 2011.

KISOM is important because refugee churches play such an important role in helping people survive and recover from the trauma of forced displacement.

Over the years, IAFR has brought in specialists to help KISOM further develop their ability to offer training related to trauma care, peace and reconciliation work, and theological development.

IAFR also helped URHC purchase land and build the KISOM facility. We plan to build 3 new classrooms on the campus in 2022.
