We're giving children who have lost so much the opportunity to grow, learn, and dream.
Dzaleka Primary School Scholarships
With a population of 54,000 refugees the Dzaleka Refugee Camp is home to thousands of children without access to education. Churches in the camp have opened schools to help create access and opportunity for children, however many are still not able to pay the small school fees. Lack of schooling sets up a cycle of hopelessness that we can help our partners stop.
The Opportunity
You have the opportunity to provide the chance to go to school for refugee children and orphans with as little as $35 a month. This will provide the necessary school fee as well as a dignifying school uniform. With your partnership these children can have the peace of knowing they will be able to stay in school, grow in their knowledge, self-confidence and spiritual and emotional well-being! These children deserve the chance to dream and learn what their Creator says about them.
The Goal
We aim to sponsor 100 children a year, which will give children who have already lost so much the ability to grow, learn and dream. Through education children and families will grow in capacity, dignity, and emotional well-being. This will also help the schools to expand their capacity to provide excellent education in a loving and safe environment!
The Strategy
We are starting with two refugee-led partner schools, Ebenezer Academy and PCC Primary School. Both of these schools have and will continue to receive teacher training, and have been long term partners of IAFR. With their partnership in piloting this initiative we will be able to not only provide access to school but work together to help children and families flourish.
The Progress
This is a new IAFR project. We will post progress updates here as it is implemented.
